Jim Kroner from PNC will be discussing the programs that PNC utilized.
Jim Kroner is the Central Territory Engineering Manager for PNC that contains more than 1,000
PNC properties and provides engineering review and commissioning of all new construction and
commercial interior projects for the region. Jim was responsible for developing a commissioning
process for PNC’s Green Branch Prototype and has commissioned more than 50 green branches
for PNC, each achieving LEED Silver or greater. Jim’s commissioning process improvements have
led to increased standardization, improved performance, and higher employee satisfaction than
previous legacy branches as documented by a recent post occupancy evaluation study. In addition
to PNC’s Green Branch program, Jim also oversees the development of large office and
mixed use projects, including the newly completed 3 PNC Tower in Pittsburgh, a LEED Silver
Core & Shell project, and PNC Place in Washington DC, that is seeking a LEED Platinum Core &
Shell and Commercial Interiors project.
